The University of Queensland is one of the nation’s most renowned public research universities. Its stunning St Lucia campus features history sandstone buildings and is the oldest university in Queensland. St Lucia Campus

The university’s main campus in St Lucia occupies most of the leafy riverside suburb. Only seven kilometres from Brisbane’s city centre, the campus is a central hub for those from all walks of life and home to many sporting facilities, cafes, restaurants and museums. The university has the perfect balance of old school sandstone buildings and modern facilities, creating an exciting academic atmosphere. On campus you’ll find Queensland’s largest research library alongside a range of shops and services.

Getting to The University of Queensland

The University of Queensland’s St Lucia campus is serviced by more than 10 direct bus routes from Brisbane CBD and outer suburbs. There are two bus stations located at Chancellor’s place and the Lakes, along with an intercampus bus services that runs between St Lucia and the university’s Gatton campus.

Toowong station is the closest train station to the St Lucia campus. From here you can board a bus from the Benson Street bus stop that will take you directly to the campus.

If you choose to travel by car, there is parking available but do note that there is high demand for parking spots on campus and the university cannot guarantee that there will be any available when you visit. Therefore, it is highly recommended that you utilise public transport as an alternative.
